Prediction Data: We store your Oscar predictions, watched movies, and league memberships to provide the core functionality of the app.
Usage Data: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. This includes pages visited and features used, but not personal information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Nominato service
- To track your Oscar predictions and calculate scores
- To enable league features and leaderboards
- To send important service updates (optional notifications)
- To improve the app based on usage patterns
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely in Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and Firebase security rules to protect your information.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
League Members: If you join a league, other league members can see your display name, predictions (after ceremony), and scores.
Leaderboard: Your display name and score may appear on public leaderboards after the Oscar ceremony.
5. Your Rights
- Access your data through your profile page
- Update your display name and preferences
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your predictions
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage to remember your theme preference (dark/light mode). Firebase may use cookies for authentication and analytics purposes.
7. Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and analytics
- Vercel: Hosting and deployment
- TMDB: Movie posters and metadata (no user data shared)
